1. Identity

Legal Consultants AZ (“LCaz”) is a legal advisory and consultancy firm acting as contractor in the provision of legal services.
2. Applicability
2.1 These general terms and conditions apply to all assignments entrusted to LCaz, including follow-up assignments, subsequent assignments, and assignments from group companies within the meaning of Section 2:24b of the Dutch Civil Code.
2.2 “Client” shall also mean any natural or legal person making use of services, documents, or concepts delivered by LCaz.
2.3 Deviations from these terms and conditions shall only be valid if agreed upon in writing.
3. Processing of Personal Data
3.1 Personal data shall be processed in accordance with the GDPR (AVG), exclusively for the performance of services, identification, administration, communication, direct marketing (with opt-out option), and compliance with legal obligations.
3.2 The full privacy statement is available via the website or upon request.
4. Performance of the Assignment
4.1 All assignments are exclusively accepted and performed by LCaz.
4.2 In deviation from Sections 7:404 and 7:407(2) of the Dutch Civil Code, employees, directors, and affiliated persons shall never be personally bound or liable.
4.3 LCaz performs its services on the basis of the information provided by the client.
4.4 LCaz may terminate the assignment subject to a reasonable notice period.
5. Engagement of Third Parties
5.1 LCaz is entitled to engage third parties.
5.2 LCaz shall not be liable for acts or omissions of third parties, except in cases of intent or wilful recklessness on the part of LCaz.
5.3 Limitations of liability applied by third parties may be accepted on behalf of the client.
6. Liability
6.1 The liability of LCaz is limited to the amount paid out under its professional liability insurance policy, increased by the applicable deductible.
6.2 If no insurance payout is made, the maximum liability shall be limited to €1,000 per assignment.
6.3 LCaz shall not be liable for indirect damage, consequential damage, loss of profit, lost savings, business interruption, or damage arising through digital communication.
6.4 Third parties cannot derive any rights from advice issued by LCaz.
7. Indemnification
7.1 The client shall indemnify LCaz and its employees against claims from third parties related to the services performed.
8. Invoices and Payment
8.1 Fees are exclusive of VAT and shall be indexed annually.
8.2 Invoices must be paid within 14 days.
8.3 In the event of late payment, interest of 5% per month shall apply (consumers) or the statutory (commercial) interest rate (entrepreneurs).
8.4 Collection costs shall be charged in accordance with statutory rates.
9. Complaints Procedure
9.1 LCaz’s internal office complaints procedure shall apply.
9.2 If a complaint is not resolved internally, the client may submit it to the competent court.
10. Limitation Period
10.1 Claims shall lapse if they have not been submitted in writing and substantiated within six months.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
11.1 Dutch law shall apply.
11.2 The District Court of The Hague shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Access to the Digital Environment (Client Portal)
12.1 The digital environment of LegalConsultantsAZ (“Client Portal”) is accessible exclusively to users to whom LCaz has provided a personal account. Access without a valid personal account is not permitted.
12.2 The user is obliged to keep login credentials strictly confidential and not to share them with third parties. Any form of shared, transferred, or publicly disclosed access shall be considered unauthorized use.
12.3 Unauthorized access, including access by persons without explicit authorization from LCaz, is prohibited. LCaz reserves the right to temporarily or permanently block accounts in the event of suspected misuse, monitoring, scraping, data collection, technical research, or any other activity that may compromise security or confidentiality.
12.4 The Client Portal is not a public service. LCaz independently determines which users are admitted, refused, or removed. Access may be withdrawn at any time if necessary for security, confidentiality, or operational reasons.
12.5 All data, documents, and communications within the Client Portal are confidential and intended solely for authorized users. Any unauthorized consultation, copying, distribution, or storage of material from the portal is prohibited and may result in civil liability.
12.6 For security purposes, LCaz may log, monitor, and investigate access attempts, including IP addresses and technical metadata, solely for the purpose of detecting and preventing misuse.
